A 3-Dimensional (3D) virtual representation of a 2-Dimensional (2D) video created by capturing a video with your phone/tablet through the app.
2. What is a VOLOGRAM™ Experience (or simply, a Vologram recording)?
A video (including accompanying audio recording(s), if any) recorded with the app, showing a Vologram.
3. What is a Superpower?
A 3D effect you can apply to a Vologram, and a great way to get creative!
4. What are Trendy Volograms?
These are curated Volograms we think you will like. These Volograms include some created by other users with Volu, and high-quality Volograms captured in a professional studio.

6. How do I activate my account?
Once you provide your email, a username and a password, you will receive in your email a one-time verification code which you will need to provide in the app for activating your account. Please check your spam folder in case the email landed there.
7. I am trying to activate my account, but I don't have/can't find the activation code?
You should receive the activation code in the inbox of the email address you are registering with. Please check your spam folder just in case. If you have checked both after waiting a maximum of 30 minutes and nothing is received, please let us know (see question 21: “How can I report an issue or bug within the app?” below)
8. Can I change my username and/or password?
You can’t change your username yet, but you can change your password: simply log out and tap on the “Forgot?” button. Keep in mind that logging out will remove all the local data in the app, including your video recordings, which are only stored locally.
9. Can I delete my account on the app?
Yes you can! However, if you are experiencing any issues with it, please let us know at volusupport@volograms.com.
10. What background should I have during a capture?
A background that is more or less static. For example, capturing a person in a forest where the trees are moving or many cars are appearing in the background will result in a bad quality Vologram. Also, make sure there are no other people in view, neither next to you or in the background.
11. How can I get the most out of my capture?
In order to get the best quality out of your capture, you need to ensure that: (1) you are capturing the full body and facing the camera, (2) you are not standing in front of a moving/busy background and (3) you are not covering significant parts of your body with your motion. We recommend you take a look at the Tips & Tricks videos in the Featured tab of the app, there are great recommendations!
12. How should I hold my phone/tablet during the capture?
You should hold your device in portrait. You will first need to move the device around a little to initialise position tracking. After that, try and avoid fast motions during the capture and try to keep your hand as steady as possible.
13. How can I capture myself if I don’t have a second person to hold my phone/tablet?
Easy peasy! You can place your device on a tripod and put it at a distance that is able to capture your full body. Tripods such as the ones used by vloggers are easy to use. Don’t forget that by the time you press the recording button, you have 5 seconds to go to your spot before the recording starts.
14. How many seconds of video can I capture for creating a vologram?
Currently, the app allows you to capture up to 5 seconds of video.
15. How long does it take to process a capture?
Once you finish capturing yourself or another person, a progress bar will appear at the bottom of the screen showing that the video is being uploaded on the cloud for processing. Once this is done, go and grab a coffee and read a couple of pages from your favourite book. It can take a couple of minutes to process your video into a Vologram. You can close the app in the meantime, we will send you a notification when it’s ready.
16. If you get the message "Uh oh it was not possible to save your capture. Please try again or try a new one."

17. How can I apply a Superpower to my Vologram?
Once you place a Vologram in your space, you can choose a Superpower from a list of Superpowers provided at the bottom of your window screen. If you still haven’t saved any superpower, tap on the '+' button to add them.
18. Can I share a Vologram with another user?
Yes you can! However, if you are experiencing any issues with it, please let us know at volusupport@volograms.com.
19. Can I process a single frame from my video recording?
No, you can’t. You can only process part of the video you captured. However, you can use the tools available at our Github repository here for exporting your Vologram and retrieving the 3D mesh that corresponds to the frame you are interested in.
20. Can I post a Vologram recording to my social media accounts?
